MFS brand ammunition is steel jacketed.

So I was curious about this MFS ammunition. I found that the bullet stuck to a magnet. Just to make sure it wasn't the case making it stick i pulled the bullet and stuck it on the magnet. Then curiosity got to me. So I cut one in half. It is a steel jacketed bullet with a copper wash to add colour. Wondering what this does to a good rifle barrel.

Yup... says right on the box "bi-metal" which is a mild steel. No big deal but ranges don't like it even though it's not much harder than copper. The core is still lead unlike military ammo of that type which is steel.

Granted they used AR-15s and a LOT of ammo, but you get the point.

I wouldn’t shoot them in my rifle, are you saving any money if you’re damaging the barrel?
