MG 34 question

Hi will an MG34 fit a post war lafette tripod, one that is made for a MG1-3 type. I know that the 34 and 42 use the same tripod. Any help would be handy thanks.

And yes, I DO have an MG34. Yes, I HAVE tried it myself. and NO, waiting for someone else to answer you will NOT change the fact that it doesn't fit without an adaptor from TNW.
