Mg42 m53

Hi,

I been having a raging MG woodchopper lately for a mg42/m53.

Since they are not for sale, Has anyone actually imported one from the states??

I been browsing gun broker and similar site and they are btw 2-5k a piece.

They are legal in Canada, but just want to know if it was possible to have it imported into Canada.

and before anyone says "buy a mg34" i already did, and its nice and all but it is not a mg42, im sure other people will agree with me on this one.

Imports are not legal in Canada due to the FA receiver. See John at Marstar and he can help you if any are available and legal.
Legal Sarac M53 and MG 42 CA's are as rare as chicken lip sausage in Canada.......good luck

if they use ANY parts of the orig reciever they are converted auto so says the rcmp

if not try and import one and let us know what rcmp labs say in 2 years or so....

There are companies in the US making the receiver with completely NEW parts. I think there was a guy in Lagnely BC who was building one.

Even if the gun is compliant with Cdn. standards, the US DOS is not issuing export permits for belt fed guns these days.

thats true of us made weapons but they WERE allowing non us stuff through that may have changed recently........

BRP guns sells unfinished MG 42 receivers, whats called and "80% receiver". In any case they are NOT a gun and should be exportable with out any legal problems. The bad new is BRP will not ship to canada, so you will need an US address and good welding skills.
