These guns will probably end up on CGN at one point.

Two MP44s ..one is a dewatt Steyr, the other is a 12(3) Erma.

The MG42 and MG34 are both Gustloff assembled guns...the MG42 is dated 1943...the MG34 is dated 1939.
Both are dewatts, the MG42 with a moving action, the MG34 does not have a moving action.

I am trying to get a sense of the potential interest in these guns from members on CGN.

Erma assembled MP44 with spare parts accessories. (This gun is 12(3) registered.)

there will be lots of interest if there priced right, you will have to start keeping track of the prices on similar items that sell.

gaff,

You are absolutely right..... although-I have not seen many MG42s or MP44s that have sold in Canada lately.

David

Not that it really matters but I got this Czech and East German ammunition with the MP44.
Supposedly the Czech ammo was reboxed German WWII stuff.

stencollector,

I guess that I missed it.

How was the interest?

David

The MG42 that I have is a very nice one with very clear markings.
I bought it following its deactivation from full auto.

Sold it in 12 hours, with a second interested party waiting in the wings. PM me if you want to know the price, but it was reasonable compared to what I have seen some guys asking in the last year or two.

They are not really all that rare...I believe John at Wolverines has a deactivated pair of them to sell as well.

ok how about the same guns but converted auto ...well only one MP44 ....a steyr....as nice if not better then the dewats above.. im thinking of getting rid of all my ca ..except my vickers

The MP44's don't come up very often. Four years ago a gent sold an Mkb42(H) for $4000 and the last MP44 I saw went for $2500 (Converted Auto).

I have only sold one piece in my collection which is shown below.
The buyer and I originally connected on CGN.

My reason for posting the guns shown above is to try and get a sense of the potential interest from CGN members.

Part of my curiosity is because of the four 12(3) s which requires the required licensing.
They are;
-MP44. (Erma)
-MP40 (Erma)
-PPSh-41
-Lanchester Mk1* (Sterling)

The dewatts include;
-MP44 (Steyr)
-Thompson M1928A1 (Savage-1942)
-MG42 (Gustloff 1943)
-MG34 (Gustloff 1939)

These guns will all stay in Canada, and will probably end up with CGN members at some point.
I am not ready just yet, but I would like to get a sense of they that may be interested when that time comes.
As far as values ….I am slowly developing a feel for that subject, and I appreciate the input from people that “have been there and done that.”

All of these pieces are very decent.

David

P.S.

I am open to consider trade for ‘nice correct’ U.S. Civil War guns as that is where my collecting originally started many years ago.

Hi David.
You have such a fabulous collection. I would be more than willing to give your 12(3)s a good home.
Take care and Merry Christmas.
