I can't imagine an MG42 that can be '#### and click'.
It may have a moving action but not '#### and click'.
From what I understand this is the deactivation that took place on my MG42.
This comes from the guy that did the deactivation.
Procedures utilized in neutralizing the gun.
- Barrel release lever welded.
- Retaining lever for trigger group welded inside and outside to the receiver.
- Welded on under side of receiver ahead of buttstock to prevent disassembly.
- Hole drilled in the barrel ahead of the chamber, a pin was put in the hole and welded in place.
- Bolt face was ground off.
- Sear notch on bolt face was ground off.
- Sear is ground off and welded to the receiver.
- The receiver was cut on the left side and the barrel was welded to the receiver, this weld is visible on the left side of the gun.
