If this spins your pin, there's a plastic mg42 kit that you put on a Ruger 10/22, and it half asss resembles an mg42. :confused:

None are approved for Canada. The US ones are usually re-watted originals. Right now, only the MG34 is available in Canada.

Marstar was looking into having some made, but so far nothing has come of that AFAIK.

CLAVEN2;
Just to clarify, we designed a completely new built Mg-42S.... Semi auto only gun....
2.1/2 years of work, 6 prototype designs ($$$$), and then success....
It IS approved in Canada, we ran only two pre-productions units and never went into production.... Simply NOT cost effective....
If anybody has the the time and money we will gladly sell the design and the production rights.
Be prepared for a major investment....
But they are fun....

I can get sap's to take to a gunsmith or gunshow for display or to take them to be destroyed .it's sitting on it's layfette tripod as I type this. I had a friend come over who hadn't seen it or the vickers .I must go and oil them up to put them safey back in the safe where they will be safe and so will the Canadian public will be safe ...just wanted to see how many times I could get safe in a sentence ..safely that is

no it's ca as are all my others the new made semi's all have new made semi only receivers which is one of the reasons they are expensive theres alot of work and R+D which goes into those new semi's that plus you know there is a limited market so you really be selling all that many so you have to sell them for quite a bit to make any money at all .Some guns are easer then others the 1919A4 uses quite a few original US gun parts with a few extra milling ops and new right side plate but the mg34 has a completly new fully machined receiver which is very expensive to mill .The Mg42 being stamped I'm not sure who would be able to make the dies for the pressing or if they were able to use rewelded receivers that might be why they didn't go into production en masse .Only John knows why
