Good evening gentlemen,

I've posted a video explaining and showing the Lambeth/Kiff micro reamer micrometer and how it works. The video speaks for itself. The only thing I can attest to is that it works and it's the one tool every proffessional or hobbyist gunsmith should have in his or hers tool box.

Well I do not see a video when I go there????????????????????? I just here his voice and that is it.

The video is in Windows Media Format and if you can only hear the audio, then a setting on your computer needs to be changed or reinstall the free windows media player. It only takes a few minutes from Microsoft.com

Yeah, I finally found it on his page. That same video is posted, which is kind of funny since it has a Dave Manson holder in it...

This is awesome! Imagine the time saved. In school we're working with let's say less than perfect machines, and sometimes, when you turn the dial on the tailstock 5 thou, it ends up being between 2-10 or so. I imagine that this tool would solve such problems as overboring your chamber and having to face the end off again. Also, knowing that it is accurate would help a lot too! I hate takign a cut, stoppign the lathe, measuring, taking a cut, stop, measure, curse, throw the part in the scrap bin....

If you set up a dial guage to get a true read on quill movement, you will also avoid reaming too deep. Also, on the way in, you can check to see what effect dwell has on the final depth. This is one advantage to a positive stop on the reamer or holder; it minimizes the efect of dwell at the end of the cut. Regards, Bill.
