Has anyone tried the Microlon and gotten the faster velocities they claim will result. Have a .338 that seems to have a slow barrel and would like to get a bit more speed out of my handloads. Thanks-Karl

Yes I have been using it and distributing it for several years now. Velocity increases can be from marginal to substantial, depending on the rifle. Eack 1 reacts differently.
Before taking on the product line I tested a number of my rifles, ranging in calibers from 223 to 50BMG.
The 223 did not show as much velocity increase as my 7 mag and 300 did, the 50 gained very little other than that it does not copper foul nearly as badly now.
Velocity gains ranged from a meager 27FPS to 135FPS in my 300 shooting 200 gr bullets, that is substantial I believe for that weight of bullet.
There are quite a few members of this forum who use Gun Juice, and the considerable cut down on copper fouling is the biggest advantage. There also seems to be something in it that appears to greatly extend barrel life from what I have experienced. The same 300 win mag I started the experiment with had a brand new barrel on it, it now has well in excess of 5000 rounds down the bore and still shoots sub 1/2 moa , very little fire cracking is evident as well as very little throat erosion. At over 5000 rounds this barrel "should be" toast.

I use Gun Juice in my inline black powder. I can't say I tested the speed, but since using the Gun Juice, it cleans up faster (sabot plastic and copper). The Pyrodex residue hasn't changed.

I bought a big container from Rick at ATR not for the velocity increases (if any since I dont have a chrony) but rather for ease of cleaning.

I started using is on a brand new 22-50 of mine and it cleans up really well. I also started using it on a new to me 7mm RUM that is a real beotch to clean.
I applied about 10 coats of Gunjuice to the RUM but it didnt really help. After talking to Ricks side-kick he said to just clean it really good (which I did), then gunjuice the crap out of it.

I've put about 100 wet patches down the bore over the course of a few weeks. Havent had it out shooting yet but I'm really hoping that will make the fouling minimal.

If all else fails, I'll use a treatment of UltraCoatings Borecoat I just got.

I love shooting, but like everyone else, hate cleaning. (and yes I use wipeout but it doesnt clean the massive copper fouling in the RUM).
