Hi all,

I was thinking about going hunting and camping with a friend of mine somewhere up north in Ontario. Sometime mid-may. Just curious if there are good camp grounds with minimal light pollution to look at some stars at night. As well as coyote hunting, I heard a lot of places have cayote seasons open year-round...some even offer a bounty! I've also heard that you can't use anything greater than a 30 caliber?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Better off to wait until the long weekend and take advantage of the walleye opener! Coyote hunting up north is a much harder game with there being very little open country. The guys I know who are successful at it run dogs in winter for them. If you want to hunt them year round it's Southern Ontario or come here to Saskatchewan?!

And here I copied this right from the 2013/14 Ontario regs for you...

the spank, you should add to the bottom of your post, (for some reason it is cut off) that the last list of WMU's is the areas where wolf and coyote are open all year round.
