Hey folks just thought I'd share with you the latest addition to my rifle. Midwest industries rifle length 2pc free float quad rail that I got from Wolverine. Great company to do business with btw. It was kinda hard to get over the thought of taking a dremel tool to my rifle but installation was a breeze.

Hows it feel? I have the older One piece rail and its quite thick in the hand.

I dont find it overly thick myself though if you have smaller hands it might seem a bit larger. I have a magpul afg on it and it is still comfortable to point. Only downfall is weight with a 20" Hbar its a bit of a beast since it adds nearly 13oz once you take into account the delta ring being removed. Can't wait to get it in the bench though

Oh, you did it THAT way.

Did the spring survive?

No everything got cut off. Not having the punches on hand to remove the front sight/gas block and the relative low cost of a new delta ring isn't a huge issue.
