Might sound like a stupid question about stocks and forends.

Whats the difference on a 870 tactical vs police ribbed forend and stock? Only reason i ask is because i see the police version selling for a bit more and it looks the same as a 870 tactical ribbed forend and stock.

The stocks are the same, although the grip at the buttstock might have a different version of texture depending on the model. The differences between the 870 express tactical and the police are internal components and fit and finish for the most part.

The 870 express tactical with the extended one piece magazine tube can only use its factory barrel, the tacticals with the +2 removable mag extension can use any 870 barrel. The police models use any 870 barrel.
