Migratory bird season is here

Early season Canada's here in Region 2-4.
Heard some banging going on Saturday through out the day.
Same with the rest of the weekend.
They musta knocked the hell outta them cause I didnt hear any geese re-grouping in or around the small islands on the south Arm of the Fraser.

Our season is on hold until the grain is combined, which will be another week or two, but I will be shooting the same SX-3 that I use for waterfowl every year. I generally shoot 3" Kent Fasteel #2, but I purchased five boxes of the Browning load to try, while they were on sale, and there was a rebate in place, that resulted in them costing me less than $20 per box.

Thanks for the reminder, I have to go get my stamp.

I’m new to waterfowl. Hunting over a small spread of decoys with a 20ga.

Me and the better half will be using our 870's. Opens tomorrow for early season geese here in Eastern Ontario but all the crops are still up and not a lot of birds yet.

I got one quick goose hunt in with a buddy around lake manitoba. Field hunt, the first migrators were just showing up 4 days before. The field we had to hunt on only had 70 geese on it so we almost canceled it but decided to go last minute.

Cant hunt from the couch you know. Turns out to be one of the best hunts we ever had. 2 man limit, perfect weather, almost no missing.
