Is there any interest in a milsurp - sniper shoot? We can put one on at the Cream Hill Gun Club, about 1/2 hour west of Sudbury.
I'm thinking of pre-45 era rifles at 200 yards. Clones permitted as long as they're full wood and have period correct scopes.
Modern ones would be allowed, up to three power. I would permit the USMC 1942 Springfield clone with its 8x scope, since it doesn'the shoot as well as my 03A4 clone.
If we can get five or six interested shooters, it would be a good start.
We can also hold standard milsurp shoots.

EOSC just east of Ottawa has had a milsurp shoot several times a year for a long time now, very well attended with somewhere on the order of about 25 shooters on average - except for the one winter shoot when it was -30 and 36 shooters showed up for the day!

Good luck with your shoot and if I was closer I would definitely be there.

I don't own any milsurp sniper rifles (thinking on it I don't even own a rifle with a scope) however if you did do a milsurp shoot, I would definitely attend if I was available at the time (I might even be willing to compete against the sniper rifles with a iron sight rifle, as 200 yards isn't that far).
