That's right. I'm wanting to find Military grade tape. The stuff that you see used to add extra grip to stocks or mags. Tape-up loose ends on slings, etc. Must bond to anything, temperature and water proof, black in colour, and 24mm wide. Not the "100 mph" duct tape, but the woven fiber type. Kinda like hockey tape, but not hockey tape.

Anyone have a clue of what I am referring to? If so, where can I get some?

Ok.. so i guess "100 mph tape" is actually referred to as "gun tape"? (see above)

I dunno... the stuff you see plastered on mags.

So...there's gun tape, which is green duct tape, or there's sniper tape that the Brits have, which is a great mint-green cloth tape that can be used on everything from loose straps to rifles.

An alternative to what I am looking for. All I know is it's made by 3M and has a NSN number.

Plastic cutlery, toilet brushes and ziplock bags also have NSNs. Then again there are Nato stock numbers and National stock numbers which makes dealing with any nations supply system a real treat.

Also multiple products by multiple manufacturers can have the same NSN as there seems to be a close enough if cheap enough rule for procurement.

And leave traces of it, on everything you stick it on.
