Mil/spec Upper to Large hole lower

Anybody out there using or have used a mill/spec upper on a large hole lower using one of the offset adapter pins. Do they fit together ok. I want to get a flat top upper for my Colt Sporter HBar ( the one with the 2 screw head pivot pin ) Wolverine has both small & large hole uppers but the large is an extra $ 40 and I have another AR that is Mill/spec so swaping around is a possiblty.
Any thoughts ?

don't have the mis-matched hole upper/lower anymore, but the adaptor pins/bushings that I used made it a very stable fit for me in the past.

Others that I know of have not mentioned any issues with the fit either.

DPMS makes a great adapter pin. I've used it for several range sessions.

Big to small or small to big both the eccentric pins and the adapter bushings work fine is assembled correctly. I found the pins work very well and appear to take up some play as well.

I found the opposite.

Mine worked loose, and would roll. Spreading a split between the upper and lower. I was not pleased, it jammed several bullets back into the cases.

I sold my large hole lower, and went with push-pin. No other way to go IMHO.

I have some new offset bushings for sale in the EE if anyone wants to try it for themselves. For a few bucks, it's the only way to figure it out.
