Militaria ID Help

Ok as some might have known from my OT post about the subject I had a chance to pick up a few militaria items and would like some help ID'ing them. The items were in a cardboard box and I had to get all the items together, no picking or choosing.

The helmet DOES appear to be an Combat M1940 (due to the embossed airvent)

INSIDE the helmet is stamped "Q66" on the left hand side and on the back between the initials is stamped "325"

Next comes a knife in a leather scabbard, only one side of the blade is sharpened. The back of the scabbard is stamped "Made in Germany" and the blade is stamped:

KORIUM
FORGED SOLINGEN STEEL
MADE IN GERMANY​

This isn't a WWII item since it wouldn't be in stamped in English but it's still older.

Then comes some sort of round like from a mortar although maybe someone can ID it properly.

Now comes a 20mm Casing. The bottom is stamped:
39 ASC 1942 20MM MARK - L
Gotta love that the tip would be filled with some sort of explosive to cause massive damage!

Next comes HUGE casing (40mm?). Bottom is stamped:
LUF

2 40

99 40 CF

Next up is some sort of aviation tie clip. Back is stamped:
HICKOK
USA

Last up is a german badge that sadly is broken as you can see from the pictures.

So if someone could ID all this and maybe tell me what some of these items might be worth I'll tell everyone the EXTORTIONIST price I paid for this stuff.... :(

Helmet Update:
The Numbers stamped on the inside, 325 is the batch number. 66 is the head size in cm, and the Q means that it was made in Essinglen at the metal fabrication firm of Quist.
 
Knife Update:
The knife was made during the 50's, the ad in magazines showed the the blade of the knife pierced through a coin to show how tough the blade was.

EDIT: Ok the same types of knives that were made in the 50's had an "S" hilt where mine does not (not broken, just a plain round hilt), after some searching I found a site that had the EXACT same knife pictured and it stated that it was a WWII era knife (made for export BEFORE the war broke out thus the english wording).
 
Not sure about the rest of it, but the last badge is the Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen 2-klasse für 25 Jahre, or Loyal Service Badge Second Class for 25 years.

Awarded to civil servants (ie: police, firemen, etc) for 25 years service.
 
Believe the mortar round is a standard 2" practice round.
"...20mm Casing..." Standard 20mm cannon round.
"...(40mm?)..." Too small. The '2 40' is likely the date of manufacture. Looks at lot like a .50 BMG case. Don't think it is though. What's the ID of the case mouth?
You could solder the pin back on the badge.

The large shell is not MG round I can say that. The hole where the bullet goes is 1" in diameter, the bottom of the casing is 1.75" in diameter. The length of the casing is 6.5" long.

As for the badge, the pin wasn't attached to the back of the badge. The ribbon part of the badge is missing and the pin was attached to the back of the ribbon.
 
20mm looks like a fired 20x110 Oerlikon fired case.
What is the OAL,rim dia and inside neck size of the 40MM?
 
Seeing as the helmet is black and there aren't any "Runes" on it, denoting SS issue, it may be police or fire fighter issue.
I'm not sure of course, just a supposition because of the lineage of the medal. Most likely came from the same place, maybe the same person.

During occupation after the war, items such as those were offered to allied service men to bring in some eating money by their original owners. Many of whom were eagre to distance themselves from anything "Nazi".
 
Helmet is original, including the decal, typical for Quist lids, JMHO. The colour of the helmet is surely a dark green, and not black, and the helmet is Army (Heer) issue. From what I can see, all parts appear original. PLEASE do not clean or disassemble the helmet at all. Just leave it as is. That's history in your hands right there. Congratulations, nice finds.

"V for Victory" Likewise the 3 dots and and a dash were also interpreted musically for the first 4 notes of Beethoven's 5th symphony which then became synonymous with the "V" for "Victory" sign popularized by Winston Churchill in WWII

Note the three dots and the bar above the "V". This is morse code for "V". It was often used in cartoons and was sounded as the first four notes of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.
 
Well I just received numerous PM's about the helmet from multiple forums and the highest offers (4 offers) were all for $1000 and the lowest was $225.

Not bad for an item I got FREE?

I have no idea if I'll sell it or not....
 
Helmet looks good and original like Joe said but Im thinking the color is alil too dark...better pics would be best, maybe 1 outside in the sunlight. If you looking to sell drop me a PM.

Yeah it rained all day otherwise I would have taken the pics outside in sunshine. The helmet USED to be dark green but the paint it almost all worn away, mostly what you see is the bare metal underneath.
