Militaria ID Help

It would probably fetch even more on ebay with a "real sniper bullet hole" through it. :p :puke:

Yeah Walt Disney Special :D

I just don't get it... a soldiers helmet with a Swastika (even if covered) is NOT allowed to be sold on ebay even though that soldier wasn't a member of the nazi party. They say that it's promoting hatred.

Yet they allow original and modern copie sof MEIN KAMPF to be sold! A book written by Adolf Hitler and if anyone here has read it, promotes more hatred and violence than a simple helmet with a decal! The copy I of the book that I sold had a swastika on the cover and a picture of Hitler on the inside of the cover yet it was allowed on Ebay!

Of course all it takes is 5 people to THINK your item is hateful or against the rules to get the auction removed by reporting it. (told this by ebay itself).

Wow digging through a box of my stuff I found this as well:

There are two or three different dates on the ammo.

Regarding this medal:

I think this is a civilain/political party long service medal, and not directly a WWII military service medal. Doing a google image search of "fur treue dienste" should help your research.

Yeah it's a WWII German 25-Year Long Service Silver Medal, issued to non-military for public service. (Fire, Police, Etc).

Its funny thoughT the Nazi party was only in power and existance for 12 years I think..

Technically the "Nazi Party" (NSDAP) was from 1919-1945 although the medal has nothing to do with the Nazi Party. The Swastika was used as a general "German" symbol during WWII while the Nazis were in power.

The medal was given to "civilians" (ie non military) who has done their service for Germany for 25 years.
