Military Mauser "sniper" rifle ####

ok here are mine

top rifle is a Norway 30-06

Centre is a Israeli 7.62 with full reproduction long side rail and scope (and it shoots like a $3000 target rifle)

Bottom is real rifle-real scope-repop high turret mounts...it is also much more accurate than required by German wartime sniper standards

well....maybe $2000

no reproductions here mate

Vermin, I don't mind reproductions at all. At least you aren't shooting a bunch of value away every time you pull the trigger at the range with it. I saw one of those a few weeks ago and it looked great. The owner hadn't shot it yet. It may have been a Christmas present from his son.

Have you wrung the wrinkles out of yours yet???

Riflechair, nice No4T, is that a repro scope/mount?

No repros or repops here either

Well... that's who has been hoarding them all. lol

One day...

Here is what I brought.

Yugoslavian refurbished K98 wearing Zrak mounts and an ON-M76 marksman scope. Replica of the infamous "tandzara" field expedient sniper rifles from the Bosnian civil war. I have always found these rifles interesting... and it's the closest thing to a Zastava M76 that I will ever get my hands on.

By far my favorite rifle to shoot. The action is incredibly slick (unmodified) and it shoots under 1' groups with factory ammo when I take my time (the trigger is also unmodified). I will post proof some day.

Those are fine scopes. How's the tritium holding up?

So we can add to the off topic then? :)

Beautiful rifles you have there!!

I have a Brit sniper that is now history as of last year (AW/L96A1). But it shall not be posted here lol, it would be highly out of place among all these wooden beauties.

Damnit... this is not a Mauser vs. Enfield thread. We already had one of those :)

Appreciate those beauties... Now, let us bask in the glory of rare war trophies. It is obvious No.4 snipers are quite common.

LOL

In fact, just prefer rifles that have not been captured.

So... I guess the Parker-Hale M82 (C3) was captured by the British. Because we all know that only the Germans made and used Mauser actions :)

yeah, yeah. I know the No.4 is a superior battlefield marksmen rifle.
