Military pistol designed to work in grueling Afghanistan terrain now available to U.S

Please tell us more, your experience impresses me so much, you must be awesome.

I am awesome. And I can tell by your sarcasm you are buttburt. You must own a beretta by the way you take exception to my post. Simply put, there are better options out there that have been able to do a better job for a while, maybe the US department of defence can clue in this time around and pick a better sidearm.

I'm going to spray paint abunch of old BHPs tan and resell them to the army as the new desert tactical BHP :p

Waste of time and money. The Glock is already proven in combat. No need to go with something else. IMO

I would think the lack of an external safety might be a concern to the US Army, unless they changed the requirement.

Not jamming up in the desert to me says looser tolerances.

Why would I want a sloppy pistol?

How else can you guarantee that it will work in dusty conditions? The Glock too has a lot of space for debris to fall out and not accumulate inside; I think it's part of the reason they work well

It also has to do with the coatings on internal parts that does not allow sand to adhere well.

If you drop a coated mag and an uncoated mag in the san you can tell the difference.

I for one would buy it, I love my steel/alloy frame handguns.

Not everyone loves or likes these tupperware handguns.

I have a P226, CZ75 and 1911 just need to add this beautiful pistol to my small collection!

Not all afg is moondust. Think monsoon season. Slippery cowpoo-covered river rock. I wonder if it has maritime coating on it too fffffffffffffffff
