Has anybody ordered free samples from Militec recently? I received from them the 1/2 ounce metal grease and oil to my civi home address a few years back.

But seems like they also will send out free samples in 1-16 oz bottles to troopies.

I'm wondering if any of you have had requested bigger bottles sent to your civi home address?
If the success rate is low I won't bother.

I got one sample of the oil, and one of the grease... and I JUST finished the oil sample. Two years after the fact! It's pretty much all I use on my actions. Little goes a long way. Grease is still half left.

In all honesty, I don't think it's right to ask for a big sample claiming you are military if you truly aren't. These guys have done a lot for the boys overseas, and I'd rather they ship samples to guys who really need it.

I'm like you - cheap as they come - but obtaining samples under false pretenses is rather low, if you ask me. It's not that expensive - just BUY some! :)

I ordered a sample about a year & and a half back. Customs was good enough to open the package and leave the tops off before re-taping the box.
The oil was everywhere, but I managed to save the grease. Works good on the M14 and Garands.

I was sent some free samples of the oil a couple of years ago. It's the best gun oil I've ever used. Over the last year or so I went through a "must try every gun oil/cleaner I could get" phase.
Now I use MPro 7 bore gel for cleaning and Militec for lube and have not looked back.
It's great stuff. I followed the instructions and used a blow dryer to heat up my metal parts before I applied the militec oil. Strangely enough I think it made a difference and works better.

Someone at the range several weeks ago gave me a free trial bottle - it is pretty slick. I like the heat it on process... seems to work well.
