I am trying to decide between the Millett and Falcon Long Range scope. They are comparable in price and I've read good and bad about both of them. It seems that Millett is run by Bushnell, so potential warranty claims could be handled in Canada. The 35mm tube sounds a bit ridiculous on the Millett LRS, though. It would be sitting on top of a .308 Rem 700 chassis. Let me know if you've had any experience with either of them to help me make up my mind.

Thanks!

Carl

The Millett LRS is BIG and HEAVY but has a good warranty with Bushnell.
Optics are clear like an Elite 3200 not more...

I bought a Falcon and sold it 2 days later...Optics was not that clear at max.
I have poor eyes too...

For the price Elite's 4200 are hard to beat.

Glass clarity is slightly better than a 3200 Bushnell. Easy to set up and understand. Good repeatability on the 'return to zero' test.

Love the turrets, and zero adjustments, side focus is crisp.

But yes it is a heavy devil!

Yeah, that wouldn't be an issue. Benchrest only. I'm also now looking at the Vortex Viper 4-16x50. How does that one rank in comparison with Millett and Falcon?

I used to own a Falcon Menace . I loved the glass, never had a problem with the scope, but wanted more magnification. I sold the falcon and now own a Millett LRS-1 6-25x56. I love the millett scope. Decent glass for the price, I can see my .308 bullet holes on paper at 400m. I have mine on a savage F/TR, my friend has the same scope on a rem700P, he also loves the scope, and doesn't think its too big on the 700. I wouldn't suggenst the LRS for a hunting scope, but awesome for target.

Well, I went with neither. I've read too many horror stories about the Millett and I couldn't find the right Falcon, so I got myself a Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50. Can't wait!!!
