milsurp alert!! - check this out!

One for sale for $1500 on the EE has a force matched floor plate. Caveat emptor.

That didn't take long... nice write up on the post. "Don't want it anymore, so I'll sell it to you for more $". From my experience, beware long worded EE posts. ;) He has every right to ask what he wants... but the market is dictated by what people will pay. Chinese SKSes for example. People said they wouldn't pay over $200. They hit the stores at $300 and they were all gone in no time flat.

Look like interesting guns... never hopped on the MN band wagon. Kinda interested in a M44 if a good deal shows up.

Even so, I'm sure someone who missed out on the initial shipment will barter with that seller for it. We'll see how long it's up on the EE

Yeah I'm curious, like I said I probably won't sell it, but I'm definitely interested in trading it away for something I really want. If anyone missed out on these and has a .22 Enfield that's surplus to their need let's talk :) Also would entertain other nice Enfields's from Long Branch

I'm new to the hobby but from what I can tell, all guns are going up in price over time.
I don't see a problem with someone keeping this gun for a few years and selling it for more than what they paid for it. That's just inflation.
Flipping it right away to make a profit is another thing, but then again it's supply and demand. Maybe the gun is worth more than what it's selling for from tradex?

If these are non-refurbs, they must be worth at least as much as a non-refurb 91/30 with the added value of them being unique correct?
What's a non-refurb 91/30 go for these days?

Non-refurb 91/30s are not really sold on the open market as there are so few of them around. There is no established price.

Price is the USA is $300-$800 for an infantry 91/30, possibly higher.

My pair arrived this aft. Pretty much the same as what everyone is getting. Both 3_ SN prefix, all original matching. Only difference seems to be that there are no stock mod cut outs for the bayonets like some have. One is worn a bit from the bayonet tip, the other shows no wear at all. I was worried one or both might be mix masters after seeing that one on the EE.
Happy camper!

SN prefixes ЗД, ЗЖ

The stock mods aren't obvious if you have them. Open the bayonet and look at the stock from the bottom side of it. One side will have less material like it's been planed down a little.

Thanks! On second look the one with no rub marks does have a slight relief. The one that rubs definitely does not though.

I would say these will not go above $1000 down the road. We have many M44s around here on EE.

Interesting. Less than 5 years ago, M44's were $125 rifles at many dealers. Now they are $450 if matching for a standard refurb.

Things go up and usually you never pay too much, you just might buy too early.

Perhaps the relief is not an original feature and was done during refurbishment.

I don't think we really know for sure, but to me, it seems like a logical feature to add during conversion in 1943 - but who knows? We don't even know if they were all done on the same assembly line, or if features evolved over the life of production. A serial survey with features would perhaps be useful to point to conclusions.

Got mine, seems matching. But not as nice as some as posted, alot of scratches on one side. One could strip of the finish and redo it but that would just scrap the value lol.

On a side note mine the finish seems really dark and some here very red, I don't know wy there would be such a difference on rifle I assume would come from the same batch.

Refinishing Garands does not made them cheaper.
