Went to Vegas to celebrate our 10th & one of the first things we did after checking in to our hotel was make one of these

If you are ever in that neck of the woods, you owe it to yourself to try these bad boys!

My day of shooting in Vegas included, Tommy gun, MP40, AK47, FN f2000, M249 and an early model 1911. It's one of the only times I was sober enough to remember.

Was there three weeks ago, was originally booked for the "Bullets and Burgers" tour, but that morning the incident at the range with the instructor and the 9 year old girl happened and we were told that the "range was closed" after we got back to the van from the Hoover Dam stop. After getting a refund, ended up going to Battlefield & shooting the S&W 500 and the MG42 and it was worth every penny. Staff there was excellent and the ride through vegas in the H1 hummer was fun too. Will be making a return visit for sure.

What did you think of the PPSH41?

"Surprisingly controllable and puts rnds on target at an astonishing rate. Sten was also really good considering its sheet metal construction."

I have one of each. The rate of fire of the PPSH is always a bit of a surprise, since I tend to shoot the Thompson more often, and it is fairly slow (a 1928). The PPSH is quite heavy, so those little bullets tend to go where aimed, whereas the Thompson rises, even with a Cutts.

The Sten is always a surprise because it looks so crude, yet works quite well. I recall picking of popcans at 25 yards, on single shot.

Anyone visiting Vegas should try FA if they have never done it. it is enlightening to see what these guns can and can't do. Those of us who own them can only remember the days when we were trusted to behave.
