I had a few of my Milsurps out and I checked them over and did some oiling of the metal to help prevent rust.

But this had me thinking, I am sure their are many of us who love and appreciate these pieces of our history, and enjoy collecting, shooting, learning about, and restoring these firearms, but are a little unsure of the best way of keeping these firearms in proper order.

So, What about having a "Annual/routine maintenance" sticky? Where we can post about the best ways to keep the wood looking good, metal rust free, actions smooth, ect.

Good idea?

I was thinking a little more detail then that?

I was also thinking that a lot more people on here would be more then keen to share info on how to preserve these pieces.

So I take it as a not so good Idea?
