Milsurp Pistol Value

Of course the value is in the stock. Difference in value for the pistol between 9mm long or 380 auto is negligible. That it is easily shootable with readily available ammo is a bonus to me.

I thought the stock attached to the extended mag, what part is slotted?

[edit] Ok I take that back, I did not know the pistol was slotted for the stock, thought it attached to the extended mag (which I thought was pretty retarded but... oh well). in that case, value is in the complete set. However if someone is whining about the caliber, you can buy a replacement barrel, would be the original caliber, but not likely matching serial.

I was just going by the blue book,
I have seen lots of the standard pistols, but never
seen a stock, sloted like a hi power???????????
Don't know, would be interesting to see.

The base of the gripframe is grooved front to back just below the grip panels, on both sides. The stock slides on fore and aft., not vertically like most others. The value of the set is because it is a matching number set. Stocked Browning 1903s are rare. The stock will not fit just any 1903, only ones set up at the fatory.
If the pistol in a matching number Artillery Luger or Mauser set had been rechambered or rebarrelled to another calibre, do you suppose it would affect value?

Just a point, the "blue book" is only a starting estimate. The prices listed were obsolete when the book was printed and keep in mind they are regional. I believe the folks who get the most use out of that book are the dealers who quote from it when they are offering you money for what you have.
Value could possibly be less but more likely much more.;)
What you will hear over and over is

"I BUY JUNK, I SELL antiques!:D"

Have you dealt/ price guns in Canada?
And yes, region has a lot to do with it.
The fellow asked what this gun may be worth as I am not a expert
on military stuff, so I posted info on what the blue book said.
My price joke aside, I will not insult some one with a stupid low ball
