Looking through the list I note a couple of anomalies/omissions

1. The K31 is neither 'Schmidt-Ruben', nor even a 'Schmidt-Rubin'. It is a Bern-arsenal redesign brought about by a team under Colonel Adolf Furrer.

2. Missing are - Schmidt-Rubin Model 1889 and 1900, the ZfK55 and sundry other oddballs, like the K31/42 and /43.

I believe Rubin could still apply as he is responsible for the GP-11 ammunition design but you are correct that Waffenfabrik Bern designed the K31 under the direction of Col. Furrer. I wonder if the legend of William Tell is why the Swiss insisted on such a well made and accurate rifle. It is a joy to shoot although I had to add a side mounted scope to see the target (sigh). Mine still has the paper slip under the butt plate.

I didn't read all the lists but I didn't see an Arisaka Type 38 or a Swiss or Italian Vetterli. Perhaps I missed these as well as some of the older military rifles that came just before or during the development of smokeless powder. Some were actually converted to fire smokeless rounds. My son has a Type 38 and an old friend, who shares my love of older firearms, has an excellent Swiss Vetterli. I have seen an Italian Vetterli-Vitali that was converted in WW1 to fire the 6.5x52 Carcano round for sale but in was in poor condition.

Using clip instead of magazine also is discordant to my ear but that could be because it would have rated a boot in the a$$, and if I recall did, from my basic training NCO's.

I have four Lee Enfield, three of which I didn’t see listed:
- No.4 Mk 2.
- No.1mkIII* converted to .410 musket at Ishapore — made in 1941, concerted in ‘47, the workmanship on this is beautiful
- MLE Mk I*, 1902, converted to CLLE MK I I.P. (With charger style bolt head).

And I have a Mannlicher Steyr M95 rifle, in original 8x50R, with a milled slot through chamber top to make it DP or instructional use only. I guess this is why it was never converted to 8x56. Hungarian?
