BBq_Woa! - Have you ever fired a full auto?

Yes I have,
I spend some time every year or so in Arizona and generally get around to renting a gun or two.

Full auto is neat and fun, and of course, has it's purpose, but for infantry I just think it's stupid..
then again, when using .223 rounds I guess the more the better

ALL the refurbs have a mix of parts - they are refurbs, after all ;) Still - they are a great buy on a great rifle :)

Oh I know, I spent hours looking at the thing and comparing every part and marking to whatever I could find online, quite a bit of history there once you do your homework. Still am not comfortable taking the bolt completely appart until I can get my hands on a firing pin gauge though, which is why I resisted taking a scredriver to the thing so far .... Once I do get one though I'll REALLY take the thing fully appart and see what makes it tick.

There's no need for a screwdriver to take your mosin bolt down ! Check out www.mosinnagant.net for info on how to take it down, and set firing pin depth without a gauge. You're right tho, mosins are a blast to decipher. And shoot:D.

I just picked up my first milsurp 2 weeks ago. Swedish Ljungman, amazing. Next is either a Jungle carbine or a SMLE. Either way, I'm hooked. I haven't smelled cosmo though. If I can, I will and I don't know why.:onCrack:

haha. watch out for Claven, he'll bite your head off!

Ive never shot a Lebel, but I LOVE my Steyr. Great rifle, and Im sure it was more than up to the challenge of fighting Italians and Russians! "Oddball" rifles are the most intriguing, IMHO ;)

You should really check out the mosin bolt tutorial at MSC:
http://milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=228
Step by step instructions on disassembly, reassembly and firing pin protrusion with pics. Best mosin bolt tutorial on the web IMHO, but I'm biased b/c I wrote it.

PS: you'll have to sign up to the site to access it.
