Milsurps from WWII to present days.

Thanks a lot to you all for the kind words, but believe me, my collection is nothing special. I've seen quite a few that are much better! A guy I know used to have every single smallarm that was in use by the belligerents of the ETO, truly amazing stuff! He had an M1 carbine from every producer, a 1911A1 from every producer......the hole shebang, truly amazing, in the garden he had a 105mm M1 howitzer and in his garage a 2cm Flak!

Well you got the country right, and we have quite liberal gun laws, at least for european and canadian standards! But who knows how long it will last?

After years of fruitless search I finally found an M1A1 Carbine. Unfortunately it is demilled!!! But as the price was very good I couldn't resist, alltough I had sworn myself never to buy a demilled gun.

My plan was to take the stock and put it on another, still functional, Inland carbine I have, but as this one seems to be an original "first production run" M1A1 I'm hesitating on what to do.

It makes your heart bleed to see that such a fine and hard to find weapon was castrated just because someone had to have an "original" .....because in the end it isn't original anymore, it had it's soul ripped out! But as I said, I couldn't pass on.

Thanks, very nice collection. Do you have a gun room?

Nope, I would love to but first of all the law makes me have them locked up in gun safes/vaults and second I do not have a room to spare. Alltough I'm toying with the idea of transforming the barn, a windowless room with an heavy armoured door for the guns and the militaria would be so nice!

I got a complete inland carbine all matching many years ago. It can from a RCAF guy who was issued it for base security.
