Mini 14 Accuracy Troubleshooting, please help

My mini-30 shoots very well, I'd consider a 4" group accepatable for the kind of rifle it is. It should shoot a little tighter with the right ammo, etc. Considering the trigger, action and ergonomics, it ain't a precision rifle. But they are a ton of fun to shoot and very handy.

My target M14 ( last model) being of the biggest deception, i cant believe a Mini under 3 MOA exist whatever anyone say, pretty lame rifle... JP.

Re clean it to remove copper fouling, when you do clean it look for green or blue on the swatches, you need to let the solvent soak for an hour + You might clean it often but you might not be removing the copper build up? I had this issue with my 338 lapua off by 1ft left and right at 880m . After you do this buy a box of good ammo, this way you can eliminate the ammo equation . A bur on the mouth of the muzzle can do it too.

Try cleaning and use good ammo. 4 in at 100m is not bad with a mini 14.

I've had my 583 for a bit now but would like to tighten it up as well. So far, factory Syn stock, beautiful trigger job, a TrueShot barrel stabilizer and 3X12. It's working well for me, any thoughts on gas bushings or blocks? I don't have to pick-up brass, but the neighbour might.

Just for reference no one ever died from a Mini 14 on the A-team.
