Hey everyone!

Has anyone had any experience shooting their Mini 14 with MFS ammo? If so, what has your experience been overall with accuracy or any issues? The ammo seems like a good buy, it'll be mostly for plinking, I just want to get a little more feedback before I buy that much ammo without trying it.

Thanks!

seems "snappy" in my 16" AR. Not super accurate, but not far off Winchester "target" ammo. no failures of any kinds.

that said, 2 things come to mind. Steel cases can wear an chamber throat over time, more so than brass. I won't (probably) shoot much more of it when I am out of my first box of it. and secondly, I had 2 cases split at the smallest part where it fits over the bullet. Didn't notice anything, but when I was cleaning up afterwards, I saw 2 out of about 200+ that had small cracks in them.

It was the most accurate ammo I tried in a 181 series mini I had..... I was using the 55gr HP variety.

Grouped 2.5" at 100y.....

Remember that the MFS ammo is bi-metal jacketed. So it will wear the barrel faster than copper jacketed ammo. 6000 ish rounds as opposed to 10,000 rnds.......

IMHO, it is very nice ammo. I have a browning x-bolt in the "hunting rifles accuracy" thread, it made the .750 requirement shooting this ammo!
