I was trying out my Mini-14 for one of the first times last weekend. I was trying to shoot out around 100M with the irons. It was alright for plinking, easily hitting beer cases and such. I'm fairly inexperienced with irons. I found the recoil to be enjoyable, but I am going to see how accurate she can be next weekend. I have rings for my rifle, no scope as of yet.
Can anyone reccomend a low to mid range scope for a Mini-14? It won't need to be too high tech, and I am expecting to be shooting it generally around 100M.
I'm planning on a budget of about 300.. as I don't expect too much from this rifle and don't want to over-do it.
