I just got a wood stock fro my Mini 14
Its from a 183 series and its now installed on my 580. It fits great except I did not get the reinforcement (metal part in the magwell/ receiver area held on by screws on the sides of the stock)
This may be a dumb question, but can I shoot it without it? My mags still fit fine, but I suspect that it contributes to managing the recoil, hence "reinforcement".
Any advice is appreciated.
