MINI 14 Target w/Hogue stock. production problems ?

I have placed an order through a dealer in Quebec for this rifle last October. Is is normal for them to not receive the rifle yet?
Is Ruger having problemes filling the orders, is the rifle's production running late on orders ? Anyone hear anything about this
or having similar problemes ?

You have posted n the shot gun forum, however it took over a year to get my mini. They may be busy with other contracts at the moment.

Ruger was heavily back ordered as recently as 6 months ago. They stopped taking new orders for about a month so they could make an effort to catch up. The margins on their AR are alot higher than the Mini so production probably got shifted that way. Combine that with the border being a mess and you're looking at big delays. It's not normal but it's the way it is.

If you put money down you're best to try to get a refund or a fixed delivery date. Then shop around and see who's got one in stock on the shelf or try to mod a used one to your taste.

I had my Mini on order for over a year-and-a-half before giving up and canceling the order. I was told by a dealer that U.S. orders take priority over Canadian orders, where if someone in the U.S. places an order for a Mini, their order would be filled first, regardless of how long you've been waiting. I end up getting mine through IRunGuns.ca which cost me a few bucks more, but at least I finally got my hands on one. Hope that helps. Good luck!
