Been thinking about sliding into a Mini 14. Just wondering who has new ones in stock and what they are worth? Thanks.

For the price, they are the best deal for a durable, reliable NR semi .223.
Check IRUNGUNS, I think I saw some there in stock.

My Mini-14 is one of my favourite firearms. The trigger isn't great, but it is compact, handy, accurate enough and fun to shoot, carry and use.

Get one.

I also recommend a Tech-Sights rear as an upgrade.

AAAaannnddd... to fuel the Saturday night drunk flame-wars, even though mine has a black synthetic stock, I don't think a Mini-14 is a "Black Rifle".

I agree 100%. I don't consider my Minis black either but take them out more than I take my XCR or Tavor when just going for a fun plinking session walking around in the bush. Light weight and easy pointing with decent factory irons. I love my black rifles and all that can be added for accessories and such but the Mini just screams leave me as I come and enjoy shooting me.

I love the Mini-14 as well. A Mini-30 would be cheaper to shoot and would hit harder.

It's a tough rifle that can withstand some abuse and no maintenance. Except the blue finish that may rust if you don't dry and lube it if you hike or ride for days with some rain, or keep it in the truck. The stainless model is better for that.

If you eventually want to put a red-dot on it, the best way seems to be with a Ultimak rail. It's solid and allow cowitness with the lowest Aimpoint models.
