I am looking for one of those floppy barrel stabilizer. .....things....like a accu-strut or something similar. ...do they actually work? and where can I purchase one?

Do you mean the Harmonic Dampener that comes on the target model Mini 14's? It's definitely not floppy if so.

No.....I don't have that model....looking for a bar that clamps underneath the barrel to stiffen it

The only place in Canada I have ever seen them was hical.ca, that's where I got one a couple years back.

Plenty of online stores in the States offer Accu-struts, but because of their strict export laws we get the short end of the stick. Even when it comes to inanimate pieces of steel like a barrel strut.

I put one on mine and noticed a significant difference, you won't be disappointed I ordered mine from the states. I think from accuracy systems they shipped to Canada.

I have used the Har-Bar stabilizers and they work very well. Not only do they significantly shrink groups, but they act as a good heat sink.

X2 I noticed that it stopped "stringing" on mine as well after the barrel started getting warmer
