Mini-master

I agree, if it takes a deposit to bring in these guns I am in. Probably two. I know in this business cash up front to the manufacturer is necessary. A sidewinder I would be in for.

Here is a good look at the size. You can see it is a sturdy well built revolver.

This is the Sidewinder.

I'm happy to present the details of our latest Early Bird program and the information how you, our friends and members of the NAA community, can obtain the first pieces of the newest model of the NAA product line, the Sidewinder. This new product has been described in several earlier editions of my Soapbox (since Jan 2012) and has been discussed at some length on our Message Board, for example.

This program will begin 06/01/12 and conclude at midnight on 06/30/12.

Sidewinders offered in this program will be those with 1" barrels. As production increases (after the conclusion of the EB program), we will build models with 2.5" and 4.0" barrels; we expect the 4" models will be exempt from the CA "not unsafe" registry.

Orders can be placed for as many as two pieces, for which we will charge $349.00 ea. Long rifle "conversion" cylinders will be available for $79.00 each. Sales tax will be charged to those orders shipped to a UT address.

We expect to begin shipments on or about 08/01/12. We expect it will take several weeks for all of our vendors to ramp-up production of some components we will use for the Sidewinder. We promise not to ship these pieces through our ordinary distributor network until all EB orders have been fulfilled.

4.0" barrels are prohibited in Canada. We require a minimum length of 106 mm = 4.134". Make it 4.2" to be on the safe side.

#&%*@^!! Canadian law won't even let us count the cylinder!

North American Arms is willing to make a Canadian legal length Barrel. All it takes is the will of a dealer to make a product run and they become the distributor of Canada. It is just that simple, plus a few bucks.

Cash up front?

That's what other dealers said the first time around. So I put up 50% of the required 50pc buy in, of my own cash to make it happen, the initial 50 opening order were sold before they landed.

How much money up front are you talking about? If it's too much for one person, maybe two or three others could get together. (More than that would be awkward.)

If NAA's min. order is 100 units and they only charge $250 per gun, thats still a $25,000 USD commitment for the Canadian dealer.

I can see the difficulty that presents for a retailer. It could be hard to move 100 units quickly with no established distribution to other retailers. I think that is a big step to take and it requires the proper financing.

This may be more suited for a distributor like North Sylva than a retailer.

I could see them ordering several times the 100 gun minimum.

Im sure that 100 could easily be sold out within a week by North Sylva. Only on CGN making a pre order list, could probably be sold out quickly.

One here..

Hi Gary, Please let us know what the cost would be (retail price). Then everyone who wants one could put a deposit or pay up front. I'd willing to pay up front to get one. This could be a good way to gauge how many presale, so you could figure out if it is worth it for you. Thank you!

That sounds reasonable, so maybe a pre-order through a dealer with 50% down would be a better option.
