Just had an idea for a little future project (once I'm done all of the others in my gun room, that is), and was wondering what the maximum length of cartridge could be fit into a mini-mauser action and magazine(Charles Daly, Remington 799, etc.). I know that the remington 799 can be got in .22-250, but is that the longest cartridge that could fit? I don't know anyone that has one of these actions, so I can't measure one myself. Thanks for any replies.
