Keystone Arm in the U.S. is making a mini mosin in .22lr. It's a single shot and it come in a wood crate. Too bad it's a limited run and we will probably not get them in canada. They say that they might do mini repro of other rifle if it sell well.

Too bad they are a limited run, I think they would sell a pile of these in Canada.

They will probably sell a pile of these in the US, and Canada is probably not even a consideration.

We'll, I for one can barely conceal my disappointment. I was expecting something good, like this:

I posted about these months ago.....what this rifle really is, is a reproduction of the mini-Mosin given to the former Russian Czar's son Alexi who suffered from Hemophillia.

I was seriously looking into ordering one of these however stopped short once I realize it was just a Cricket action in a Mosin Stock. If this rifle were to take 5 rounds of 22....on oh my god take 22lr stripper clips it would have been total Boss and i'd have paid big bucks...but being a single shot and not having a little boy, I just can't justify it.

Here is an example of the rifle issued to the young prince, it was not in 22lr but an obscure specially made Russian calibre.

I had a book on weapons in the Heritage Museum in St. Petersburg, in one picture there were 3 miniature Mosin Nagants, an Infantry rifle, a Cossack rifle and a Dragoon rifle.

I think Tula made them for the Czar to commemorate the the completion of 500,000 Mosin Nagants

I cannot remember the scale but possibly 1/3 regular size.

If someone has the book perhaps they could check the information.

If it's a single shot in 22LR I think Polish Wz 48 training rifle is a better option.Proven action (I think it's a Walther or Mauser design) and build very well.

Who knows, maybe someday FB Radom owners/managers will decide to make them again.

No chance to import them?

I don't think there are any left to import. From what I've heard many have been scrapped because of excessive wear and improper storage/handling over the years.

I still hope for new ones.Mechanically they were excellent and very efficient design.there was also a version with 5 shot mag but it wasn't produced.
