:) Opened the box anticipating the worst and was very suprised. I have to say I am impressed. The black plastic stock on the gun looks good. The stock is rock solid- reinforced where needed and the forearm doesn't wiggle. I won't be changing out the stock!. The metal finish is darker than 2007's or before- a very dark grey. The machining and finishing seems a step above the other years of Norincos. All surfaces are much smoother and no sharp edges. The gun does the ping test well and the gas system is rock solid - none of the usual looseness. And the sights are on straight and they work!! Couldn't be happier.!! Will shoot it tomorrow with some good handloads and see how accurate it is.

#### the action and let the bolt snap forward. The action/barrel/flash suppressor should resonate like tuning fork. You want the action to function the same way each time, piston stopping at the same place, spring extending the same way each time, etc etc. The theory goes that if the action "pings" it means the action is consistent and consistency is the handmaiden to accuracy.

A Mozart Ping

I've just fininshing up an M25 Clone on a Norc receiver. All USGI or better parts with a Kreiger barrel and Smith Vortex break. It musically resonates for about 5 seconds when the action is charged. Just like a tuning fork.

:):) I have to tell you the ping is impressive - I've owned a TRW, and 5 Norincos and I have never heard the ping on any of em (untuned) until this Polytech. The QC in assembly is there. Again, I have to say overall an impressive package for the money.

Mine is from the Epps batch and it had it's first range date this past Friday.

Fired a group at 50 yds using Santa Barbara "NATO Espaniol" marked milsurp. Ran the rear sight down and elevated it 8 clicks and made no further adjustment. 4 rds went into a 3/4 inch group just left of centre (approx 1inch) and the operator (yours truly) placed the last one about an inch outside of that. Nice, crisp military trigger.

I am very pleased with this rifle. :D
