well i had a JW15 kicking around .. figured i would do something fun with it since it never got used

so i chopped the barrel off! :) its about 13" maybe
put the scope on and ran some CCI Velocitors through it and what do you know.. this lil beast is so badass that i didnt even need to sight it in! dead on at 60m .. no bore sighting.. nothing..

around about 1.2" group.. not half bad really.. might keep it

next is going to be a home made A4 style stock i reckon

edit: if you're wondering whats up with the end of the barrel, thats a thread protector.. for when the suppressor isnt screwed on ;)
 
Too bad I've been to NZ and know that you didn't just commit some unholy felony of a #### storm like you would have in Canada... I ruin your game...

haha.. looks nice and fun.. let me shoot it and some of your other toys at goats if I come visit?

I don't get it. Rifle looks just like any other boomstick, 1000000's of them around. Lil'l shorter barrel, so what. And who wants your supressor anyway. 1.5" at 50 is my groups from standing at 25. Poor quality pictures too.

I like it..but i meant Macmillian A4 style ..
i also only have my little tiddly light weight suppressor ( about as long as an AA battery, and maybe 50% larger diameter ) .. new one is ordered though

OC3 - yeap sure can, theres 1/4" between scope and bolt handle, thats more than enough

I saw lots of goats down the west coast. I flew to Aukland, took a domestic flight to Nelson, a bus to Blenheim for a 6-800 person wine industry party open bar party in a hanger. Then a train to Christchurch. Rented a mini camper van, drove to Greymouth, then down the coast, to he bottom, taking the closest road to the ocean absolutely. Like going to Te Anau and Manapouri, etc.

The outside road seems like a good idea until you are driving through farmers fields in the Caitlands... I was on a mission to see Penguins and tried everywhere. I got some cool pictures at slope point, etc, but didn;t get to see penguins until a fuzzy afternoon in Dunedin, after the whiskey tastings..


All in all, it was awesome. I will do the drive again and I will do the same adventure on the top island.

I didn't know, the only suppressed firearm I ever saw and shot was a MP-5 the ERT had when I used to run a gun range. It was really quiet with subsonic ammo but that suppressor was the size of a large frozen juice can. I tried for more of that A-4 look with my Savage/Anshutz, I just haven't figured out the butt plate/hook yet:redface:
