Minie balls or round balls in 20ga?

I was chatting with a friend about options for 20ga slug reloading and we noticed that a 0.570 round ball would sit nice in the 20ga, as well as a minie ball if you do not use a plastic wad.

Anyone know of real data for heavy slugs or multi ball loads? The minie balls are 460-510gr depending.

Minie balls would be extremely unstable in flight without rifling, you're much better off sticking to round balls. 40gr of FFG black powder would be a good start if you don't mind cleaning.

That is what I was curious about, the Minie is just a longer hollow based slug, similar to a foster but longer.

I do not want to do black powder that is for sure, hence why trying to find load data through a manual somewhere.
