Minimum scope mount height

Hi all,

Today was the day I finally got to trade in my unused Weatherby hunting rifle for a Ruger 10/22 Target model with a stainless bull barrel. I'm looking forward to seeing how it shoots, but before that can happen I need to mount my scope.

I kept my Nikon Prostaff 5 3.5-14 x50mm scope but need new bases and rings. I can't seem to find any place locally to size the right height to clear the front of the scope.

Does anyone have a similar set up that can make an educated recommendation so I can place the correct order online?

Also, should I go with the included Weaver style pic rail (like that it matches the finish) or buy all new parts?

Dont know if this helps due to barrel profiles but my savage fv mark2 wears a 30mm tube 50mm objective
Weaver style rings measure 10mm from the bottom of the loop in the ring where the scope sits to the top of the pic base where the ring mates to the rail. This gets the bell so close to the barrel that i have to cut the bikini cover.
