Hi folks. A few years ago I picked up a Minolta spotting scope ( model number FV63 ) it has a 20x50x? lens. I’ve never seen another one. I can’t find any info online. I’ve read that Minolta makes great camera parts but nothing on scopes. Has anyone run across one? I found one for sale in the UK and Im thinking about wanting to sell mine. But it’s hard to sell something you can put a value on or even have the buyer read about. Any info would be muchly appreciated.

I'm sure they are nice... but the market for used spotting scope isn't that big, even more so for a make-model that's pretty much unheard of.
Had to look it up, they seem to have bee introduced-sold about 20 years ago. Didn't catch on (for whatever reason).

If I'd have to guess, I'd probably start at $150... and work my way down if it doesn't move.

Measure the front lense to give folks an idea of what they are buying. Some folks want smaller scopes like a 60-65 mm while others, like me, go for a larger lense on the order of 80-85 mm. Depending on the size you would have different prospective buyer with small lense more like hunters who move around versus range types who just carry and set up for the day.

Found this on line it may help with details. There were a number of posters on various sites looking for info and this was the best reference but no idea of prices. BTW some people prefer angled to straight scopes, especially shooters.

Typically, I bring my Minolta FV63 spotter. 20-50x zoom magnification, 63mm objective lens, BaK4 porro-prism & fully multicoated optics. Waterproof/fogproof. It is very sharp & bright when observing targets at 100 yards, but not too big to lug around. It has a soft nylon case, so I need to make sure I pack it carefully. They don’t make them anymore (since Minolta was absorbed by Konica).
