Anyone have any feedback on this scope? I recall reading about there being an issue with the eye piece wobbling or something a while back. Is this issue sorted out? I went to the website but wasn't able to see any detailed measurements on the scope. What is the max length for mounting between the bell and eye piece?

Basically I want a scope with 4" of eye relief and this one came up as a good scope. Conquest is ~100 more and I know its solid.

Feedback on minox appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 3-15x42 on my varmint rifle. I really like it. Compact scope, very clear, and no issues to date! I don't know about the 3x9, but I am satisfied with Minox quality, and as far as I know the warranty iscompletely transferable. Check out sponsor Cameraland for open box specials!

Well since there wasn't all that much feedback on my question, I did my own research. Early models of 3-9x40 (not sure if others were affected by this as well, but 3-9x40 was what I was interested in), had a problem with the focus ring on the eye piece wobbling around when it was being used to adjust focus on the scope. This resulted in a scope that wouldn't hold a zero.

Minox acknowledged this issue as a problem with assembly and fixed the problem on all new scopes being made.

I went to cabelas today to look at the 3-9x40 and every single scope in the display case I looked at had the wobbling issue at the eye piece. I won't go into my dialog with the fellow behind the counter but I looked at two scopes that were in boxes in the back. One of them also had this issue and the other did not. The one that has a rock solid eye piece is a new production scope and this is the one I bought.

So if you are looking to buy a minox scope make sure to check for a wobbly focus ring on the eye piece and insist on getting a scope that doesn't do this. Don't let them tell you otherwise.

Cheers
