I know a few years back some Canadian retailers were selling these and plainsight solutions on here had some pretty good deals going. I never had one but they were generally pretty well respected.
Anybody still selling them?
Whats the warranty, if you get a used one with no receipt will they still honour it?

I love my 2-10x40 ZA5. I saw a wicked deal on a used one by one of the good guys on here. Can't find it now of course. Anyhow, I don't know about the warranty, but I've had it on some heavy kickers and it runs like a top.

I had a 2 x 10 x 40 that developed a loose ocular lens and I contacted the office in the US and the very nice sales rep [Greg Clark] said 'send it back'. I did that and they replaced it with a brand new one. Still have it NIB since I sold the rifle it was on and don't have anything to put it on now. A great company to deal with and very nice scopes.

Had a Za5 2-10 that had beautiful clear glass but had the seals go out after not many rounds fired. They Replaced it with a new one that I don't have anymore. Not sure who sells them anymore. Might have been a fluke but not sure id buy one again for the price they were selling for. Might went in the middle of deer season so it was was a huge P.I.T.A

Sounds like the warranty is pretty solid. I saw that one disappear on the EE just recently for $300 and I'm kicking myself for not grabbing it. Seems the prices for new ones have risen in the last couple years. I'm looking at the 2-10x40 to put on a 7mm rem mag.
Not too serious about buying right now, just kinda window shopping but if another used one comes up at good price I may grab it... that is if the warranty is good for second owner.

The zeiss conquest HD5 2-10x42 also seems pretty awesome, however thats getting into another realm $$ wise.

i like scopes that go down to less than 3X and also have a 40 mm objective, are there other ones out there?

So now you must buy a new rifle. Don't you just hate it when that happens? ;)

Warranty on Minox is 30 years providing you register it within 30 days of purchase date. Don't know if it's transferable.
I have the 3X15X?50 ZA5 on my 300 WM and I really like it. I've had it on about 5 -6 years now and no problems, knock wood.

I was looking into buying one earlier, so I did a ton of research online. Seems the glass is great, the warrenty is very good, but you might need it. This is with the older non HD version is they had a lot of problems with the ocular coming lose. And seemed like a troublesome optic. According to what I read. Didn't find as much complaints with the newer HD line except quite a few reports of the magnification being not true to the values they stated. They also come in three different teirs. The ZA is made in the US the ZE is made in Germany and I think it's the ZV? Is made in China. I chose not to go for it just because I didn't want to take the risk of having a bunk one on my rifle go on me during hunting season. Seems like it's kind of hit and miss unless you go with the top end German series which are supposed to be great optics. But a lot more pricey.
