Mirage shield

What do you guys use to fasten a mirage shield on a rifle which has a muzzle brake on it? Just wondering. I held the metal shield on the rifle with rare earth magnets originally but have to shorten it a bit to clear the muzzle brake. Thanks in advance.

Velcro tabs and very thin flexible plastic possibly called Mylar.

Velcro tabs and a slat from a venetian blind. Install with the curl facing up.

nylon ribbon with metal hooks on front sight and scope base. But I've learned if barrel heat is giving me mirage, I should slow down.
