Miraku Firearms

Bob,
I know that Miroku firearms are sold under the Browning and Winchester names often. For example, new Winchester 92 lever-action firearms are made by Miroku. You can purchase those at Wanstalls, for example.

I might be mistaken but I believe Miroku only sells shotguns under their own name and contracts all their CF rifle business with either Winchester or Browning in NA.
I recently noticed Miroku shotguns listed on Brownings European website. Or should that be FN's European website? I'm not certain.

Winchesters are the guns I was looking for. The make most of the 1994 Calibers including 38-55. It maybe a case where I will have to go through an imported. Winstalls has two listed on their site.

Thanks for the replies.

Take Care

Bob

Miroku has an agreement with Browning, which means you can only buy their products under the Browning and Winchester trademarks in North America. In Europe and Australasia you can purchase Miroku branded shotguns.

i had for years a Miroku shotgun while in France it was an O/U like a Browning copy (except the tag name) but half price for sure.

they were use a lot for any lind of shotgun competitions in Europe.

Miorku is the factory making for Winchester, Browning and Miroku.

These days the price difference has shrunk considerably. A friend even picked up a brand new 525 for almost £100 less than the equivalent Miroku. Still, I'm pretty happy with my Mirokus, and the clay guns come without a bunch of extra holes in the barrel.

I used to use a Miroku made/branded BLR .308 in South Africa in 1995/96. Miroku branded shotguns were popular there too.
