I have a miroku 1895 saddle ring carbine in 30/06 and love it.I wish winchester would reissue this gun again as a canadian edition in 303 british ,I think it would be a great Lille woods gun like it was back in day.Anyone else like to see this happen

If it were a viable profit maker for them it would still be in production but the long and short of it is as much as some love the nostalgia of it all their time has come and gone. Also nobody it seems cares for the reissues near as much as the originals, especially collectors as the originals are just that, the original.

Winchester made the original in .303, primarily for the market here. No reason that a run could not be done now.

If it could de done with the No. 1, it could be done with the '95. These modern ones were also made in .30-40 Krag. Not a whole lot of difference from the mechanical standpoint.

Yeah, it doesn't enhance the rifle, does it? Mine is an older Browning '95 in '06. The lawyer stuff leaves me cold.

And the newfangled repros are not honest repros but lawyered up look alikes with rebounding hammers and tang safeties that were not on the john browning blue print and at ridiculously inflated prices.
Had one of their 1886 extra lights and got rid of it.
Will never run as smoothly as the old originals because of all the extra unneeded parts.
Maybe the lawyers will buy them because I'm not dropping way over $2000 for an imperfect copy.
