sold the 3 I had as they were all new in the original box,

wish I had them back, do they come up very often in the EE as I cannot remember seeing one for a few years,

I guess I could place a ad in the wanted section but do they ever come up at gun shows

reliving my dream one expensive rim fire at a time

would it help if I offered a 20buck reward for help finding one? seriously though

Which model?

A 52 b reproduction, and ad is in we want to buy but are they out there? And if so where and how often

Thought they only made one model, were there other models

Jeff

Winchester was the 52B, and Browning was the 52C. Slight differences in the stock.

learning something already, and I think the boxes are different and supposedly one model shot better than the other one but do not care about that.

looked in the book

THE WINCHESTER MODEL 52 PERFECTION IN DESIGN today for the list of accuracy specs they thought the rifles should perform to but could not find it Herbert Houze was the author great book

the japan reproductions seemed to exceed this standard not sure why maybe new tooling

Hi Jeff,

I picked up one of the Browning copies last fall on here. Was one of the first to see the ad and said I will take it. Not a perfect specimen with some marks, but accuracy is wonderful. And I have not even had the opportunity to spend the time with it I would like yet. Like a d*mn fool about ten years ago I saw one in mint shape at a local gunsmith shop for a price of $600 and did not know enough to grab it.....want to examine my head and give my butt a kick on that one.

From my online research when looking for one, the stocks are slightly different. I cannot recall the exact differences now, but mine has a plastic buttplate and higher comb.

So, unfortunately not willing to sell it. As you know, I am more of a rimfire accumulator and very rarely do any leave my grasp. lol

I note in your listing for centrefire target rifles you mention selling some rimfires in the future. Would be interested to know what you have coming up for sale. The rimfires purchased from you in the past have been A1 and you are a good guy to deal with. I thought you knew everything there was to know about target rimfires since you gave me a couple lessons on model history and details in the past.
