Mirror on butt of a stock.

I saw a rifle with a mirror on a stock of a rifle. I would imagine it is for looking around corners or signaling another fellow soldier. Does this increase the value or decrease it? Would this be desireable to have? I think it is cool if it was used for that. Or is this a bubba move.

Highly likely that it was put there by Bubba. There are no mirrored rifles.

Who knows, take the mirror off and it might be a nice rifle....as long as there isn't a can opener or corkscrew mounted on it.

K31 with a triangle inlaid mirror in the butt stock.

I think it was probably owned by someone on Jersey Shore so that they could check there tan and fohawk while out doing their daily military combat training sessions. But who knows, could be anything!

.....perhaps not, but there WAS a neat little mirror that clipped onto the blade of the Pattern 1907 Mark I bayonet. It was part of a Trench Periscope, used for sniping in the Great War.

I treasured my Grandfather's trench mirror for many years...... until it got stolen.

Still, not quite as outrageous as the coffee-grinder on the Sharps.
